Cutting boards are one of those things that nobody really thinks about, but everyone needs. And when you do start thinking about them, you wonder “which one should I get?” There’s polyethylene cutting boards, rubber boards, wood cutting boards, plastic cutting boards, and then there are the accessories. Are accessories even necessary?

Although most homes have one or two cutting boards at the most, restaurants are supposed to have an endless supply. By law they are required to have at least five color-coded cutting boards designated for meat, fish, vegetables, poultry, cooked foods, and dairy products.  This prevents cross-contamination especially in this day and age where allergies run rampant.
